Phone SIMs

You can easily buy a phone SIM at any small phone shop—and they are everywhere. Every department store, every mall, every block has a small phone shop. They are less than 100 Baht (US$ 3) and you can top up for as little as B50.

If you want to get EDGE/GPRS data service, buy a One-2-Call SIM, it's easy to set up and you can get 20 hours of EDGE/GPRS for B100. To subscribe, just dial *138 and follow the voice menu.

Thursday Night: Beercamp!

Beercamp is a Barcamp Bangkok tradition. We take great pride in tradition--and beer.

Some of us get together every other Thursday and, well, drink beer! We also talk geek stuff too.

Tonight we will be having Beercamp at La Moon Restaurant & Pub, near Victory Monument. Come join us!

Friday Night

Friday night we will have a meet up to greet the out-of-town guests for Barcamp. We will meet for dinner and drinks at 8:00 at the Singha Beer House on Asoke, about 600 meters north of Sukhumvit Road. It's close to the MRT/Subway (Sukhumvit station) and Skytrain (Asoke Station). Just exit the station find Asoke and walk about 600 meters north, it's on the left hand side, lots of lights, a big sign and an outdoor beer garden.

After dinner, about 10:00 we can decide where else we want to go. Again, call me or Sajal if you need to find us!
